Saying you’re off to grab something hot and pink sounds a little pornographic, but if you’re in Wimbledon you’re most likely referring to the Hot Pink Healthy Grill just opposite the New Wimbledon theatre.

The Grill offers a menu of Red Tractor approved meat and fish from sustainable sources. But what is Red Tractor approved? If you want to learn more about the various food labels check out Compassion In World Farming.
http://www.ciwf.org.uk/your-food/know-your-labels/ According to the organisation Red Tractor offers little more than compliance with current legislation. No bad thing, but it could go an awful lot further as current legislation doesn’t exactly set a high bar. You can download their free food guide which will help you navigate your way through the food label jungle. http://e-activist.com/ea-action/action

Still, that said the Hot Pink’s food is very tasty. The £6.00 meal deal (Monday – Friday till 6.00pm) was great value – one main, one side, one sauce. The chicken skewers I had, with brown rice and lentils, and garlic and herb sauce were excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Talking of hot and pink, if you’ve ever felt the need to sign off a text with a vagina or penis emoji the wait is over. Flirtmoji offer a selection of risqué emojis, including 15 ‘va-mojis’ to impress current or potential partners with. You have to register to access them so in the name of research I did – lord knows what I’ll be seeing in my inbox from now on. Apparently designers Katy McCarthy and Jeremy Yingling hope their work will ‘empower people of all sexualities to communicate their desires, concerns and flirtations’. Or as their website proclaims ‘Have better sext’.  Emoji 19.31.48   I might add a few to future call sheets.
